It is exciting to have one's own breed on the cover of the Canadian Kennel Club's National magazine . . . not to mention my own dog!! It was a complete honour when Ty was invited by the Canadian Kennel Club's publisher to be the May 2004 cover dog for Dogs In Canada Magazine. The photo shoot in Toronto was a very exciting experience and Ty was a wonderful sport. Over 200 pictures were taken and Ty was amazing. The joys of having a well trained dog!! Sit, down, beg, bow, head tilt, paw up, paw down, sit forward, lean back . . . the list of poses goes on!! Needless to say, he slept well on the way home.
I would like to thank photographer Dave Starrett and art director Bill Whitehead for putting together such a beautiful cover that I can be truly proud of. Also, a huge thank you to all the fellow dog fanciers for your cards and sweet messages regarding how proud you were to have Ty represent the Papillon breed. It really means a lot to Ty, my mother, and myself. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we will cherish it forever!
